KENNEDY MCKINNEY: “FLOYD IS TOO PICKY…THE ONLY FIGHT HE WON’T DO IS PACQUIAO”

“Floyd is too picky and he wants all the money. He won’t split the purse 50/50. Floyd wants 60/40 or 70/30. I mean, damn, give the people what they want! There is enough money for both of you guys to share it 50/50,” stated former super bantamweight champion Kennedy McKinney, who shares the opinion of many that Floyd Mayweather is now to blame in the latest round of botched talks for a mega-fight with Pacquiao. According to McKinney, although Mayweather is undefeated, he can’t give him credit as a great fighter if he doesn’t fight the best out there.

“What the fuck is the problem? You are already rich and a millionaire, man. I mean, you don’t have to have all of the money. It’s a political situation. Me personally, I think Floyd…and I know the kid. I know his uncle’s Jeff and Roger and I know his dad. Floyd wants to retire undefeated and the only fight he won’t do is Pacquiao,” McKinney explained during a recent interview. “That’s the fight that would make him. That would make him a great fighter to beat Manny Pacquiao. Until he steps up to the plate and makes the fight, I can’t give him credit as a great fighter. He is a very good fighter, but fight the best out there. I didn’t back down from anybody.”

While it’s clear that McKinney thinks Mayweather needs Pacquiao more than he thinks, he also thinks Pacquiao needs Mayweather just as much. “I mean, Manny needs him too. Manny needs to step up to the plate,” he continued. “As far as the talk man, everybody is talking about that fight and I got into it too. They are the best fighters in boxing and they make all of the money, so I think they definitely should be fighting each other.”

I think Marvelous Marvin Hagler also said re Mayweather, Jr., “Don’t be rediculous, just fight!” And now, one of the top notch boxers of America, Kennedy McKinney, is telling FMJ the truth of the matter.

  2. marlon Says:

i think so. why he want all the money while in fact gayfloyd is so rich?..it’s just an excuse!…fight for the fans and be fair..

  3. enrico Says:

all family member of mayweather says he can easily beat the pacman but LOL till now he dont even step up the plate whats wrong with 50/50??? you dont need a lot of money bcoz you are already rich hahaha i think its obvious that floyd is afraid of the pacman hahahaha the greatest coward in boxing history - floyd mayweather jr.

  4. wengz2002 Says:

I think Floyd will only fight Pacquiao if he is ready to retire! You know what I mean…

Do you think Floyd still has a face if he losses to Pacquiao???

On the other side Arum is very hesitant as well… A Pacquiao loss means end of his cash cow!!!

I can’t blame Pacquiao for this mess, at least they showed serious effort to make the fight…

If Floyd walkout from 50/50 Split… So be it!!! It’s not that you offer the guy with unreasonable deal!!!

  5. perry ayos Says:

Floyd would rather retire in jail for good than gets a good beating than Pacqiao. That’s how scared he is, I mean stupid.

  6. pikon Says:

he’s just protecting his zero…he wont fight manny, sergio and canelo…he wants to be undefeated when he retires after 2 or 3 more fights…

  7. Jj Says:

    Floyd is a fool.

  8. boxmeister Says:

It sums it up..Fraud Mayweather Jr is not a fraud for nothing. He will use the name Manny Pacquiao to make more money. Because deep inside he knows he cannot beat the Asian phenom. Money and fear cannot mix. Give him a billion to fight him and he will have second thoughts. That is how scared stiff he is.

  9. nashingun Says:

floyd uses pacquiao’s name to sell his fights then retires back earning $100M without even stepping into the ring and get beaten by pacquiao. brilliant indeed! and the world is left empty handed. thats how floyd plays his game and you buy his schemes. too bad many still falls into such ploy.

  10. nashingun Says:

pacquiao is consistent with his desire to fight floyd jr. he even insisted on arum that he fights floyd jr this may 5. but in mids of all the hyping floyd dont want to split the pie fairly. that to me is the most disgusting part in the process to not give the other side what is due him. pac deserves the other half, or more so the greater half but the asian guy only wishes what is fair and balance. yet the greedy floyd wants em all! this is to say floyd dont really want pacquiao… he’s only playing on the hyping to sell his next fight, and to me its the ugliest gesture.

  11. blue4cor Says:

The money is alluring but if he is scared to fight Manny as many perceive it, he got “no guts, no glory and no money, bigger than what he already has.

  12. nameless Says:

Is this the McKinney that Lui Espinosa destroyed?
I just want to say, Cotto-Mayweather has been overdue for years, but it only happened when Miguel LEFT TOP RANK.
Then, Bradley wanted to fight either Floyd or Manny, but only got the chance, very easily when he JOINED TOP RANK.
That explains a big portion of why the fight’s not happening.
So as much as I hate Floyd for being a ducker, the “credit” isn’t his alone… don’t forget the senile ol’ fool Uncle Bob…
